"From the first meeting with my matched mentor, I could tell that was paired with the right mentor for me.  Our backgrounds, core values and even cultural experiences were so similar it was scary!  I'm so glad to be a part of this program and paired with a mentor that wants to help me achieve my goals."  Dana Powell - Student

"As a member of the Executive Committee, it has been exciting to collaborate with Georgia's most accomplished female business professionals.  I am also honored to serve as Mentor for the inaugural pilot program of this incredible initiative.  It has been rewarding for me to spend time with my Mentee discussing strategies for career development, fostering valuable introductions and helping her realize the countless possibilities for continued growth that exist"  Dianne Kaseta - Founder and CEO, The Event Shoppe

“People talk about the need to empower young women and WMA is providing me with a specific and very manageable way to turn that talk into action.”  Kelly Dolan - E.D. Atlanta Women’s Foundation

“I am a consultant, life coach and motivational speaker; who already has large list of “mentees” who check in with me regularly regarding career and life advice. In spite of already being in this space; when I was introduced to Women Mentor Atlanta (WMA), I said “yes” immediately. For every young woman I mentor, I realize that there are so many more who don’t have this kind of access and exposure. WMA is now a formal access point for younger women who need career, life and balance support. When younger women  enter the WMA door, so many wonderful resources are available for them to embrace. I’m so pleased to have been on the “ground floor” of such an important initiative for the city of Atlanta.”  Danita V. Knight - Consultant, Life Coach & Motivational Speaker

"I've desired a mentor ever since I defined my passion. However, it's been difficult finding someone with the time and commitment to be just as invested or supportive of my journey. Prior to WNA I reached out to several thought leaders in my field and found it difficult to maintain those relationships. The majority of that difficulty stemmed from a lack of time or availability and my timidness, I never wanted to seem as though I was bothering someone with my issues and professional concerns. It was disheartening because I too wanted a seat at the executive table and I wanted to be able to confidently express my opinions. With some assurance, direction, and confidence I knew that such support would provide me with the courage to move forward with my projects and actually impact the City of Atlanta. WNA connected me with a powerful mentor that desired to genuinely connect with me. Our conversations improved my confidence and helped to clarify the objectives of my personal mission. I look forward to continuing my relationship with my mentor."Jewel Nana Thompsom

"I truly am grateful to be apart of the WMA pilot as it is so much bigger than having a mentor. It is the knowledge, wisdom, friendship, and guidance that comes with it that really makes this program special. I have been able to confide in my mentor and her guidance and advice has provided me with different perspectives and support. I look forward to the future of WMA!"Nirvana Archer
